AB3 will reopen soon in its new location

I have several brilliant posts in my head, but the carpet is half-done, after which we can actually start putting stuff in the new house; the garage sale is Saturday; our phone is getting switched over to the new house on Monday; the internet and dish will be moved on Tuesday.  And if all of that goes as planned, I might be back online on Wednesday.  The movers don't come until next Friday, though, so we're stretching this out over a full week.  Who knows when I'll be back.  Wish me luck.

  1. Hey, I got in! (Fingers crossed that this really posts too.)

Taking it slow can be slightly buggy, but this way you'll probably have less over-all stress. Or at least use that as a calming tool, and say "oh wow, I'd be so much worse off if we were doing this all super fast!"

    Maybe? Couldn't hurt. Good luck!

  3. I've been thinking about you and all the turmoil you are going through right now. I hope it is all going well, or at the very least giving you something to blog about!

  4. thanks, Karen! You already know me pretty well- it's how I entertain myself while doing all this menial packing and carrying and etc-- thinking up blog posts. Of course, I wont' be able to remember any of them by the time I have time to write them up. internet is hooked up at the new place and disconnected at the old place, so I still am out of sorts.

  5. I'm in I'm in I'm in!!!!

Last night Dan suggested trying to get here through Chrome and it worked, but then my comment disappeared when I clicked PUBLISH. So I was angry all over again. Fingers crossed that the jinx is gone now.

Was the sale THIS past weekend? How are you holding up?

Also, helpful tip for remembering your blog topics when you are away from a place to jot them down, send yourself a text! Just don't forget that it's there and erase it later (don't ask how I know this might happen).

    1. yay!! I'm so glad you are back! I still have no idea what the problem is. I wonder if it has something to do with the new reply-to-comments feature, since that's the only thing that has chnaged. I DID think my numbers were way up until you said you'd been clicking over and over to see if the problem had cleared up. *sigh* lol, just kidding. I had 28 pageviews from your blog one day, I thought I must have written something extra brilliant!

Garage sale went surprisingly well for a January garage sale. We made almost $250!! But of course I would have been thrilled with $10 if a bunch of stuff had gone out the door. Much to my surprise several people left with bags of books-- I priced them $1 for hardbacks, fifty cents for paperbacks, and $5 for a bag full. Great way to find new homes for your books!

Movers come tomorrow and then maybe next week I will feel less like the eye of the hurricane and be able to write something intelligent. Or maybe not. :-)

  6. How odd. This post just showed up in my Google reader today. It must have been hanging around in the internet ether. Or maybe it was just on vacation.

    1. that is strange. I was going to try back posting some stuff because i don't want it showing up on people's RSS, but if there's a week time-lag anyway, maybe I don't need to worry about it. I'm way behind on reading other people's blogs, although I do usually see your coffee haiku on FB! I will catch up soon.
