C U L8R

a favorite author recently wrote a blog post about blogs.  She speculated on the reasons why people blog, but since she's an author, her view was slanted toward marketing, name recognition, and fan interaction.  She neglected to mention "compulsion to publicly post your thoughts," which seems to be my reason.  But for some reason that compulsion has disappeared, for several weeks now.  That last post is only there because I made myself write it.  And since the end of the semester craziness is fast approaching, I'm just popping in to say what you could probably already tell-- I'm not going to be posting much for a bit.  In the past, as soon as I've said something like that, I've come up with something to say the next day, so that may happen.  You never know.

Happy Spring!  It's gorgeous here today, the grass is even turning green!

  1. Nothing on the recent trip? Anything happening with the house? More epiphanies on religion? Ah well, I certainly understand the not having anything particular to say bit going on. But, you know, if you think of something . . . ;)

    1. Oh, I forgot I hadn't told you about our trip. If I could find my camera I could at least post pictures! I'll work on that.

  3. Eh you'll post when you post and we'll read it when you do. Meanwhile we can make up thrilling stories about the secret life you're leading that's keeping you from posting.
PDA with husband gone to far leading to arrest? Breast implant surgery? Joined a nudist society?
I could do this all night, you know.

  5. It's your blog! You post when you want to. I think we all get "blog ennui" at times. My family sometimes WISHES I had nothing to say.

    1. "blog ennui" makes it sound so elegant! I shall try to be elegantly silent. :-) ha.

  6. Yeah I post because I'm a writing... always must be writing erg...

Sometimes my blog ennui (love that!) follows patterns, though. Maybe i'm doing more fiction writing, and not reading the news or anything, so I have nothing non-fiction to say.

Or when I was in school writing papers I had lots to say, cause my brain was always On.

Maybe your brain is being used up by your dissertation!

    1. I hope that is what it is. I've been hoping that my subconscious is working on my thesis, because my conscious isn't getting very far. *sigh* I talked to my sister (who completely coincidentally started work on a master's in social work at the same time I started mine) and she said she has senior-itis. Hadn't even occurred to me, but I think that's a lot of it. I'm just ready to be DONE. Unfortunately, there is still much work to be done before I'll get there.
